Andrena has an MPhil in History of Medicine from the University of Glasgow, a B.A. (Hons) in Economic History from the University of Strathclyde. Andrena has also a Certificate in Adult Education and is a CACDP Level 3 Communication Support Professional. Andrena taught Economic History at the University of Glasgow, was a University Administrator at the Department of Civil Engineering and Schools and Colleges Liaison. Andrena worked as an Adult Education Adviser, as a Communication Supporter and as Researcher for the Queen Margaret University linking demographic data to Health outcomes.
Nils has a PhD from the University of Stirling in Computational and Mathematical Modelling of Life History Processes, a M.Sc. equivalent (Diplom Biologe) from the University of Munich LMU. He did post docs in the geographical institute of the University of Stirling working on virtual landscapes and the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of St. Andrews working on Bayesian state space modelling of invasive species. Nils worked also professionally for many years in software engineering and was a partner and business analyst of a 162 staffed health care company. Nils dealt here with all business strategic planning, liaising and instructing accountants, general managers and communicating with auditors. Before that Nils had for a decade a technological company (BioFacts) whose products were leased out to the Holzbrinck Group in Germany. Nils has continuously kept his skill set up to date by completing 16 certified courses ranging from artificial intelligence over spatial big data to satellite communication.
